In 1930, designer Charlotte Perriand exchanged her necklace of chromed, copper ball bearings for one of seashells. A shift in personal style, the move gestured a broader, modernist transition from the strictly industrialised to an embrace of natural materials and organic aesthetics. Inspired by this evolution, the Roulement à Billes No.2 necklace juxtaposes a string of twenty-four Lapis Lazuli stones with an organically silhouetted detail, cast in sterling silver or gold vermeil.
All of the materials that we use in our jewellery are ethically and sustainably sourced using Fair Mined certified gold and predominantly recycled silver.
The Roulement à billes necklaces are cast and assembled in Thailand by a community of artisans from our partner factory, Boma. Read more about the story behind our pieces and their makers here.
