“Le Cabanon” was Le Corbusier’s most modest project. Designed in December 1951 as a gift for his wife Yvonne, it covers an area of about 16m2. Le Corbusier meticulously detailed the interior, using vivid red, green, and blue panels on the ceiling to contrast with the warm wooden walls. Though it has only two small windows, the shutters fold back to reveal mirrors reflecting the turquoise sea and Monte Carlo, framed by pine and palm trees. Our “Le Cabanon” earrings echo the vibrant colours and unique perspectives of these windows, capturing the essence of looking towards the sun.
