Zoe Michel is a round-the-clock voyeur of fashion and culture trends. With over a decade of experience in fashion media, including at Condé Nast France and MAD, the now Editorial and Communication Director at Nina Ricci constructs engaging narratives, negotiating modern femininity with the brand’s heritage of romantic luxury. It’s a role that suits this proud Parisian absolutely. Whether it be a quirky café, idyllic park or a store with excellent candlesticks, this eternally curious soul is passionate about unearthing her city’s treasures and finding inspiration in its eccentricities.
01 IF I HAD TO EXPLAIN WHAT I DO TO SOMEONE, I WOULD SAY
that I keep an eye on trends and culture, create stories and invite people in.

02 THE BIGGEST MYTH ABOUT PARISIAN WOMEN IS
our hair! We do have a routine requiring a ton of products. No, we did not just wake up like this.
03 MY FAVOURITE NEIGHBORHOOD FOR SHOPPING IS
Paris in general has amazing shopping spots. Great Asian food in Belleville, tools at BHV, candles at Astier de Villatte in the 6th, vintage clothing in the 10th, bakeries on Ile de la Cité... I just can’t choose. This city is designed to walk, look around and spend your very last pennies...
04 THE PLACE IN MY CITY I LOVE THE MOST
its bridges: I love their rainy smell and romantic people.

05 FIVE PLACES IN PARIS THAT YOU THINK EVERYONE SHOULD VISIT
Librairie Delamain: they're the best at making mini descriptions of the books they sell, and their atmosphere, close to Comédie Française, makes them very special.
Dumonet: an iconic and very French restaurant I have been going to for years as I live on the same street. The mille-feuille is beyond and the chef will come to your table whilst you're eating to check whether you like every single course. A must.
Astier de Villatte: my go-to when looking for gifts or just candles to light up a room.
Place Saint Sulpice: a place that is very special to me. I used to have dates there as a teen, quick lunches in summer on the benches, and the set of my dad’s antiques fair in autumn. It’s one of the most romantic places in Paris.
Jane De Busset (near Madeleine): A magical place to attend for facial treatment. Sylvie is a genius, I'd trust her with my eyes closed!

07 MY STYLE ICON IS
Lauren Hutton is the chicest person in the whole world. Sorry, mum!
