Chandigarh Necklace

Gold vermeil

Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret were notorious collaborators, often experimenting with sculptures made from aluminium and wood, which then translated into furniture. Both artists shared a deep admiration for modernist architecture and the basis of which nature shaped interior forms. Our Chandigarh Necklace, an ode to Jeanneret’s folding screens & Perriand’s bed frames, features a reversible pendant with a Malachite gemstone on one side and a Lapis lazuli on the other sitting in the centre of a ribbed frame, mirroring the way both artists would eloquently embed colour within their designs.

The Chandigarh necklace is thoughtfully crafted in your choice of sterling silver 925 or 18k gold vermeil. The pendant, measuring 24mm across and 18mm thick, inset with stones measuring 20mm across on each side, elegantly hangs on a 50cm long and 1mm thick box chain. Please note, all stones are natural gemstones and will present variations in colour and pattern.

All of the materials that we use in our jewellery are ethically and sustainably sourced using Fair Mined certified gold and predominantly recycled silver.
The 18 Albion Mews necklaces are cast and assembled in Thailand by a community of artisans from our partner factory, Boma. The gold vermeil option is finished in the UK by our plating specialist, D&M. Read more about the story behind our pieces and their makers here.
